Jeana Cheek

Total Seed Production's growth continues as company adds a new role

Tipton, IN (December 14, 2020) - Total Seed Production, Inc (TSP) has added Jeana Cheek to their team in a new role for the company as the Farm Production Coordinator. In this newly created position, Cheek will work closely with TSP’s farm crew, learning the ins and outs of production while also collecting and organizing farm precision data for all farming operations.

“I’m excited to transition out of a sales role into more of an analytics role. With this being a new position to TSP, I’m able to mold it into a very valuable asset to the company,” states Cheek.

Cheek started at TSP in October 2020 and has transitioned nicely into her new role.

“I am thrilled for the new position of Farm Production Coordinator and I am even more excited about the person we have hired for the new position," says Ryan Campbell, TSP vice-president. "Jeana’s education, work experience and personality are a perfect fit for Total Seed Production. She has already hit the ground running and will continue to bring value and experience to our farm operations.”

Cheek has an extensive background in agriculture, with her degree coming from Illinois State University in Crop & Soil Science and growing up on her family’s farm in Farmer City, IL. In high school, she raised dairy goats and began her career in agriculture and hasn’t looked back since.

“My favorite part about working in ag is that your day is always different, there are always new challenges to learn, and it’s great to work in the outdoors,” states Cheek. “It also doesn’t hurt that I get to work with my dad, Nathan Cheek, TSP Shop Manager, on an almost daily basis.”

Originally from Farmer City, IL, Cheek now lives in Tipton County with her family and is getting settled into the area quite well. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, go hiking with her dog, Tucker, go off-roading, and has started taking piano lessons.
